Der System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2007) ist der Nachfolger zu Microsoft´s SMS Server. Bedieneroberfläche und Architektur wurden vollständig überarbeitet, sowie Funktionen erweitert. Angepasst an die Verwaltung von Server, Clients, PDAs oder Telefone werden Themen wie OS Installation, Programm Installation, Inventory und Updates im Detail behandelt.
