The new add-on Provisioning Module for Novell Identity Manager 3.5 delivers advanced workflow capability allowing users to streamline their own administration. As users become more involved in managing and requesting resources, self-service capabilities are important for increased employee productivity and reduced IT administration time.

During this course, you will learn how to complete the following tasks:
• Create custom pages
• Configure portlets
• Create custom themes
• Configure and manage teams
• Create Provision Request Definitions
• Create custom forms
• Use the Integration Activity to call external services

Audience
This Advanced Technical Training course is for users who have in-depth experience with Novell Identity Manager 3. You must have Novell Identity Manager meta-directory skills such as configuring drivers, filters, policies, etc. before attending the Provisioning Module class. You can learn the necessary skills for this class by atttending the Novell Identity Manager 3 or 3.5 course.
Along with experience with Novell Identity Manager, experience in developing web-based applications or workflow systems is highly recommended.

Prerequisites
You must meet the prerequisites for this class. It will be difficult complete the comprehend the lecture content or complete the labs in this class without this knowledge.
Prerequisites include ONE of the following:
• Extensive, hands-on experience writing Novell Identity Manager policies.
• ATT - Novell Identity Manager 3 attendance
• ATT - Novell Identity Manager 3.5 attendance

Students must have Novell Identity Manager meta-directory skills such as configuring drivers, filters, policies, etc. before attending.
Development experience with a programming language such as Java, JavaScript, etc. is highly recommended as students will be developing custom workflows that will require creation of custom forms, form control events, and other programmer oriented tasks.

• Understanding user identity self-service
• Creating custom pages
• Adding additional relations to the Org Chart portlet
• Understanding requests and approvals
• Provisioning using entitlements an default workflow templates
• Customizing workflow process definitions and forms
